Clunk Click Rocks the River
Clunk Click, one of the UK’s leading data storage companies today announced that their sponsorship of Rock the River had been a huge success. The company, who following their acquisition by Risc group earlier this year now boasts a presence across Europe had been approached by the event’s organisers for sponsorship of the first, second and third prizes of a big air competition (wakeboarders jumping over a specially designed floating ramp being pulled by high speed boats).
The competition was the 5th stop in the Mastercraft Rider League Tour and attracted many of the country’s top wakeboarders and some plucky amateurs competing against each other. The day progressed with blazing sunshine and thousands of onlookers and continued well despite the notoriously difficult tides of Conwy Estuary.
'We are delighted to be supporting this event from its inception' said Paul Roberts 'It has been a huge sensation and we look forward to helping the guys in the years to come. Such events are important for the community and bring visitors from all over the world. The Jones brothers are to be highly commended for the effort they have put into this weekend it really has been a great achievement.'
Clunk Click used the opportunity to invite some of their existing business customers from the local region to enjoy the VIP viewing area and some great music in the evening.
'Our guests had a great time' said Alasdair Hill UK Sales Manager 'The entertainment was held in a marquee on the quayside with bands and DJs entertaining over 2,000 guests. It was a good atmosphere with the castle in the background and the river next to us. It turned into the perfect way to say thank you to our local customers.'
On the Sunday afternoon, following another great day of competition and some hilarious stunt riders, Paul Roberts was given the opportunity to say a few words about Clunk Click before awarding the winning competitors with cheques and a specially inscribed trophy.
